Bio

Chef Megan Coombes grew up in the Pacific Northwest and combines this background with influences from her time living in Germany, traveling the world and studying classic French cuisine to create a unique yet familiar menu at Altstadt

Before coming to Altstadt, Chef Coombes attended the French Culinary Institute in New York, interned at Michelin starred Austrian restaurant Wallse, worked with renowned chefs through the James Beard Foundation and managed the kitchen of top New York catering company Olivier Cheng Catering and Events.

She recently opened a new restaurant in Pioneer Square, Meg's, which promises old school hamburgers in Seattle's oldest neighborhood.
